an added pdf of recent finds inside the hill

I like that, I like the photos of Things.
I'm sure lots of other people are still disgruntled. but I like it.

I've heard whispers that BBC4 are planning a Silbury night in the autumn with a showing of the BBC Chronicles dig from the 1960's, an episode of Dr Who which was based on the Silbury dig and an updated film, probably by Julian Richards,

.....you've probably seen this - but I'll post the link anyway:

There're some phrases in the latest PDF that have me alarmed, probably more my lack of knowledge than anything else:

"Many samples have been taken from the excavated ditch within the tunnel (60 litres at regular intervals). "

That sounds like a lot of original material being extracted - this is still a repair job isn't it?

I'd be grateful if anyone could shed light on what this actually means too:

"As well as this, two sets of seven monolith samples were taken from the ditch section.""

Cheers, WA

Searching on Silbury on the EH website now brings up a lot of archive photos that weren't there before.

This one, an aerial shot showing evidence of previous occupation is worth a look

Have they stopped replying to questions now or is it just taking a while? Not that I mind either way (I know they're busy) but would be nice to know if anyone else has had a reply recently...
