It is dangerous to mention any "spoil heap" when writing about Silbury. Too many think that is what it is.

Re White Silbury - sorry people but this is silly talk and it is distracting fropm what silbury actually was designed for. And it isn't a visual lump in the landscape - even the CRoW Inspector sussed that.

Get backto Winterbopurnes, crypto sporidium, "Swallow" as a generic term, etc., etc., etc.,,

And what exactly was Silbury designed for VBB?

Why silly and how do you know what Silbury was designed for? Perhaps you would kindly tell us and thus put an end to our "silly talk".

People think it's a SPOIL HEAP?? That's utterly daft. Are you having me on? You don't dig something out (what, by the way? the roman road? but that's raised up surely) and then go to immense effort to carry the waste soil to the top of a large hill, you'd spread it out in lots of places. Oh you are having me on aren't you.
