It had occurred to me that it would have been a bit of a bleak place to spend hours/days/weeks/months polishing the andesite. I was leaning towards the idea that the settlements down in Mickleden may have been more likely places for the polishing. But mebbe you're right. The finding of a polissoir would settle the matter I think.

Now I have to go back to Langdale again. Oh damn, what a shame :)
