Passed Silbury four times yesterday (Easter Saturday) at roughly 3.5 hour intervals and while there were plenty of people in the car parks and in the viewing area very noticeably there was no-one on the hill on any of these occasions !

A guy I met at Fyfield filling station reckoned that since the news item on BBC Wiltshire a few weeks back more locals knew now that no-one was supposed to go on there cause it causes damage and that this was being relayed to tourists when they ask for directions in pubs and garages. There is no way of knowing if this is the reason or measuring the effect, but if at all true - well done BBC Wiltshire for raising this issue !

Woke up this morning thinking that Silbury being free of climbers can't surely just be down to the BBC, but I passed it twice today (Easter Monday), again a lovely sunny day, lots of cars in the car park lots in the viewing area, loads of people going up to WKLB, and yet again no-one climbing Silbury !

Could just be by chance of course.
