Silbury Rabbits

>There is nothing to treasure seek really

I found a different untouched site which has rabbit/badger damage. I found beads and knifes and other flint tools on the surface so I am reluctance to publicise where it is.

As you rightly say Pete a website is not the place to discuss certain aspects, but I was told the watch was by a top archaeo. I don't doubt what you saw at all Pete, all I can relay is I was told there was someone there.

How this actually works in practical terms I have no idea with meal breaks etc. Perhaps like Cunnington and Colt Hoare they are actually the acclaimed fathers of archaeo but in truth there were ordinary plebs (sorry can't recall what you just refferred to yourself as) like me and you Pete who did the actual digging and sorted the finds etc. Their names incidentally was the Parkers and one was a reformed sheep stealer.

As for beads and other stuff you found I don't know what the commercial value is but whatever it is it isn't sensible coz this stuff is only important in being data. Nearly every museum has a warehouse of boxes with 80%+ of their holding in - usually les than 10% is on display. Or so it says in the museum books on my shelf.

Cos of the above I Personally would go for AK as it is more likley to be put on display Nigel, but it is more democratic at Devizes. Why not ask them if they would put it into a display ? I will ring you later with the number.
