As it is obvious that the removal of the top fence will make people think it is OK to climb up, you would think the guardians of this unique site would put up the promised new notices in simple universal language telling people to keep off - but no !

You're being a little unfair on the Guardian. It's untrue that they haven't put any notices up. They've put minus 40 up!

The reasons can only be wondered at. But I have a plan. Perhaps some unofficial ones should go up again, but this time of 2 sorts, one simply saying Danger, Keep Off and the other saying Danger, Keep Off, Unrepaired since May 2000.

Depending on which disappear, we might gain a clearer insight into what the Guardian is guarding.
