Time team will excavate all the soil around the hole and leave the bare hole so we can scan it's shape.
Monday morning Mark Horton will fly over the hole and take great air pics from the floppychopter and tuesday the local archaoes can pat each other on the backs and the locals will foot the bill.

and while they're filming you locals can gather around and laugh when the tv experts proclaim there's an avenue nearby that just may have been used for processions... then a few locals can tell the tale of their grandfathers who can remember it how it used to be...
