I'm just full of... ideas.

For a long time I have thought that instead of defacing the countryside with yellow lines, the government should introduce a new designation called "Green Zone Parking" or something similar. The idea is that they put up signs on each entry road telling motorists that they are entering GZP in which no parking is permitted except where indicated by green lines. Unlike yellow lines, the green lines are less obtrusive and are hardly visible at all when cars are parked on them.
