I have some drawings from the 1920's/30's that show a pronounced nipple on top!
However it turns out that this was a soil heap taken up to the top to fill the hole when it collapsed way back then!
If only the Greenaway family were allowed to take care of the hill after it became a WHS then Silbury would be in a much better state than it is now!
