Moth....

I'm not quite sure what access I'd like to see in the end. Keep to the path, at least, I guess. At the moment people crawl all over it from every angle, and it definitely causes erosion damage and tramples the flora and the proposed zoning would make them think this was legitimate. I think the numbers of people going on there has actually got worse since the WKLB access has changed and become so obvious. It's a big straight line on the landscape with lots of people clearly dotted on it and I'm sure it acts like an exciting theme-park type magnet to passing youngsters who wouldn't otherwise have stopped, and naturally they then go on to Silbury.
I put a load of notices up a few weeks ago, because EH had hardly any, but I don't know if they have made a difference or whether they've been removed by the enemy.

Nigel,
I saw your signs. They lasted 3 days begfore EH came and took them down.
Strange that they told me they don't have the manpower to keep putting up new signs when official ones are nicked but it seems they have the people available to take any Unoffical ones down.
It looks like repairs are not going to happen for another 18months!
Hmm, me feels another protest coming on next anniversary.

Thanks Nigel!

Free access to anywhere's a nice idea but in view of Silbury's condition & status it does seem absolutely BONKERS.

EH really are a waste of space aren't they. Still at least Pete G's pointed out something they are efficient at - taking down helpful (but -shudder- unofficial) notices...!
