I seem to remember a carpark on left as you drive in from St Keyne. Its a little way from the circle (about 500 yards) but I found it the best/safest place to stop.
I am sure there was a footpath on the other side of the road which was a little narrow at times.
There is/was also a sign post to the circle about 400 yards from the carpark but didn't stand out well and could be easily missed.
