I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it used to be that the sign at the top of the village (between Middleton and Y) used the 'e' and the one at the bottom (btw Alport and Y) didn't. Confused? Why??

Dunno about the other one, but the Alport end sign definitely doesn't have the 'e'. Nor does the window shade on the post office.

Very odd - the sort of thing a lot of villages'd be up in arms about....

Hope to 'do' some more down there in the next coupla months...stay tooned....
