Finally remembered not to put an ampersand in the subject line....

Just some thoughts:

Is that a weekend in Cumbria including travelling? Or a 'long' weekend? I HIGHLY recommend *not* the former - you'd be pushing it to see more than about half the stuff we were talking about when we discussed this before....

Have you 'done' Derbyshire? If you can't manage a long weekend for Cumbria, how about 'settling for' Derbyshire? You'd be able to fit in proportionally much more of the 'must see' stuff - possibly all of it. The only drawback is that there isn't that much very near roads, so might be a problem for Mikki???

I 'did' Derbyshire in a day at the end of last year. In the rain. Managed 9 Ladies and Arbor Low, and that was about it. I've got a weblog on here about it, as well as an atmospheric shot of the Ladies:

Yeah, I know what you mean about tough for Mikki.

I just fancy a drive up to Cumbria, a quick zoom round some of the circles, a beer and overnight stop, then the reverse (without the beer) the next day. Maybe diverting off on the way to other possibilities...
