Thanks for putting it up in the first place matey!!!

I'd never have found it otherwise, and it's a beauty! Pity I had no film in my camera!!! What a dork. I'd have liked a couple for the ole album. Still, I can look at yours anytime I'm online! (Also gives me a 'reason' to go back!)

Must admit I don't usually find the time to investigate stuff that's just marked 'cairn' on an OS map unless something prompts me - so thanks again.

Actually, you could do me a favour if you have time. I just uploaded a weblog for my Derbyshire 'trip' and had a few problems. It looks OK to me now, but I'm too 'close' to really read it properly.

Could you give it a quick read and let me know if it seems to 'read' right - or as right as my rambling style allows! (Chunks kept disappearing when I was trying to upload it!)

Thanks again for the tip-offs. I'll be visiting more of 'your' sites as soon as I have time!

love

Reads alrighty to me.....I had to laugh at your piece on Youlgreave. An even odder name for the place is 'Pommie'....why? Cos when the band marched passed, a pig sat on a wall and went 'pom pom pom'.

Minninglow, Green Low and Wigber Low should be up there on your places to see......

Nice weblog, Mothy old chap. Interesting reading, and it's given me a couple more ideas for a possible Cumbria trip later this year...

In your blog you ruminate about making a 3D model of Arbor Low. Well, someone claims to have already produced one.

It`s not on the net, but Alistair McIvor, who was the first to have a website with all of Derbyshire`s stone circles on it, discusses it here:

http://www.geocities.com/athens/parthenon/6197/arborlow.htm

and there`s a couple of interesting images that he`s produced from the model there, too.
Alistair emigrated to Canada a few years ago.

Oh, BTW, I`ve been up Robin Hood`s Stride and taken an `elevated context` snap of Nine Stones Close:
