A tip if you visit the city, the collections at the British Museum and the Museum of London make these places significant prehistoric sites. Incredible collections of stone tools, the new-to-me-Microliths, weapons, drums, balls and decorative objects all contextualised in very well designed exhibitions that really give a feeling for the prehistoric culture of these lands.

I've raved about the Museum of London's 'London before London' display before on here.

Sadly, the layout and contents of the display have not changed significantly for several years now. Dare I say it's all looking a bit 'old'?
