Is it yoghurt then d'you reckon? I've seen it work to encourage growth of moss.

I mean, I could just be being overly sceptical, but if it works, then there's a whole new world of (long term) artistic lichen farming opening up...

I've seen similar in very remote places, so I'm not sure if the yoghurt thing is the answer. Saying that I can't believe that the Smiley is natural :-)
