Doing a search for information, all I could find was several references to this as "an incomplete 16th century fort which was intended to command the harbour of St Mary's Pool."

Ocifant, I hear you're a decent chap, so I'm not taking this as an intimation that I slap any old rubbish up on this site. For the moment. Despite having PMT today. WILL EVERYONE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
