There are a few of them like this - quite often I think male/female, depending on the shapes! I can only really speak mainly about Perthshire/Angus, my main stomping ground, as this area's not one I know well, but there are certainly a few similar sites around there.

If we follow Aubrey Burl's nomenclature (might as well - there's nothing else) then these are a Burl type a Stone Row.

Back to the 'One Short, One Tall' type row. They are quite common in the west of Ireland, but many other places. I was quite surprised to see them in a Scottish context. The north & north-east of Ireland is pretty devoid of such things .... hhhmmmm

Any copper around those parts?
