What a fine looking site , I have never visited . Could anyone tell me if the capstone was in the same position in for Stukeley and also if there were ever any burials noted in the two ?excavations . ?I see Piggot had been and possibly another in the 1920's .

Some books I have read say the capstone was re-erected in 1921 at the same time as the uprights were re-bedded and reinforced with concrete.

Haven't found anything on any finds just yet but I will look tonight unless somebody else can enlighten us.
