Yes, I can see that now. Reminds me of the pair at Sarue in shape, except wider apart. I seem to remember something Aubrey Burl wrote about Irish/Scottish links but I can't remember the detail, beyond the RSC/ASC + four-poster similarities.
These are the furtherst apart of them all at 17m , more usual is 3-4 m and one , Gellybanks 17 cm .There is a grading to the SW , cup marks , deposits of cremated bone and the pairing of stones (at it's extreme ) at some four posters which Burl suggested linked them to RSCs . There is a convenient "line " from Aberdeen to Perthshire /Angus -Arran - Ireland which I think was another of his points

17cm! Mixed grading here, no cupmarks I can think of and very little in the way of excavation.

Thanks (once again) for the info. Speaking of cupmarks - I'm curious about the wider marks on the top of the axial stones at Drombeg and Glanbrack, but I'll measure them some stage and then ask you what you think, if that's ok?
