Yes, I'm into wells too. My interest includes water that is stained red ny dissolved - or partially dissolved - iron salts and their attendant healing properties.

I can think of some chalybeate wells that might suit your purpose , one in particular in the Monadhliath at NH 55965 03200 is a stinking red morasse in the middle of nowhere .

I too can think of some chalybeate wells. Recently visited one at the mouth of Glen Lyon (just near Fortingall). When I found the site at the side of the road it was chock full of fallen leaves, so I cleared them out. Without exagerating, my hands were orange for days after!! That's a serious amount of dissolved iron!
