Hi peeps, I just heard on Radio 4's Making History program, a comment at the end of it; that next week they'll be discussing the proposed destruction of the Star Carr Mesolithic site in Yorkshire. Does anyone have any info on this? Why is it under threat, from what and who?

I wonder if the surrounding area (or the actual area?) is being drained (for farming reasons) and that's sucking all the water out of the carr. They don't seem to come out and say that directly, I'm not sure.
