Noticed that a couple of days ago and was going to post it it below as a good example of getting carried away .

Hopefully it will not affect the lad too much , but the claims are starting to look a bit shaky .
There is little agreement on Mayan constellations and it looks like cherry picking ,no level of accuracy is mentioned .
The main problem is that the site of the putative city with it's pyramid and buildings turns out to be a cornfield .

Addenda :Although this is the same type of source as the original .Maybe it tells us more about the medium than the Maya .

Thanks for your comment and additional links George. I willingly admit I do not have the mathematical ability to enter into a discussion on the subject of a possible lost Mayan city - though it did make for interesting reading this morning.

Going back to Marina's website though - the page entitled 'Avebury Mechanism' is a grounded and sensible introduction to her work. Steve Marshall mentions her in the acknowledgements in his recently published book on Avebury - as he does you. And you will no doubt remember the Silbury Sun Roll :)
