Anyone know of local palynology results ?
Mike Allen of Bournemouth Uni would and a good bloke I'm told!
Probably just a few sample pits dotted around the monument , but considering the size of the area it would be interesting to see if and when scrub became common , possibly in some areas away from obvious paths and grazing if and when permitted .
He gave a talk about this at the WHS Seminar last year and it was said he mentioned sampling outside the henge. Hasn't he got pdf on this on the web?
