Cheers Pete. camping is a no-no for mrs squid I'm afraid! Is the New Inn at Winterbourne Monkton OK? I notice they have family rooms...and there seem to be a few places in Marlborough too.

What would be the best place/time to meet up if we go ahead with this? We'd love a chance to see the new stone too...

The New Inn should have rooms. New management now.
I'm always around. Last house on the edge of Winterbourne Monkton heading towards Avebury. Big yellow Laburnham tree in the garden with kids running around everywhere.

The stone can be seen on Sunday as they have saturday off and there is a metal fence around the trenches to keep the cows out.
Falkners is fully open.
They also do a tour at 4pm each day which is very entertaining.
