Did a real marathon walk at the summer solstice, with a friend in tow.
The circle itself.
Polisher.
Holed stone.
Cup marked stone.
Fyfield drift and Monster stone.
Devils Den.
The Sanctuary.
Overton hill barrows.
West Kennet Avenue back to Avebury.

The blazing heat nearly killed us, that night though the Stella in the Lion actually tasted great. !

Blimey, I would have been dead after getting to the polisher, that walk always seems so long from the henge!

Oh yes, so you did; your "Unforgettable Avebury Solstice Weekend" - that is some walk though Mega and I think Kid Calamity only had a few hours ... I feel hot and thirsty just reading that itinerary but it definitely does contain some of Avebury's 'secret' wonders.
