The proposal was bad enough, but its approval is a disgrace. If you'd like to complain to Kennet Council, do so here:

;)
Don't expect a reply as it would involve them explaining their two public statements on this matter in the press -

"English Heritage, along with a number of other prominent bodies, objected to these proposals because of the adverse impact they will have on the Avebury world heritage site and Avebury Henge.

immediately followed by their account of why they didn't take it further when their Objection failed -

"In coming to a decision not to ask the Secretary of State to call the scheme in for a Public Inquiry we took into account both the distance of the proposed development from the Henge and the fact that there are already buildings on the site."

.... which amounts to -
"We knew it would have an adverse impact on the Avebury world heritage site and Avebury Henge but chose to do bu88er all about it"

I don't think the spokesman is born that would fancy explaining that!
