Well, that's a shame. It's also a shame that I can't take advantage of this opportunity (hence the scream).

I was thinking the other week that there are several Irish sites that really need to be seen from the air and how good it would be to hire a little man with a balloon and hope for a favourable wind.

I suppose I'd have to think long and hard about the use of all that fuel to satisfy a whim though.

Check you local air field.
There are pilots who will just take you up for cost to keep their 40 hours in the air a year active.
Bigger runways have take off and landing fees (About £10)
If you tell them you are an archaeological student you may find a friendly pilot.
If you don't ask etc...
