One of Aveburys eldest residents, Brian Sumbler of the antique shop, has put his house on the market.
One of a few that are privately owned.
Apart from a few tithe farm cottages NT now owns nearly everything.

What a disaster! Part of the beauty of Avebury is that it is (or was) a real working village.

I was born and grew up in a peaeful old Warwickshire market town called Stratford on Avon, but now the council have Disneyfied it into some hideous ShakepeareWorld.

Progress, eh...
