I haven't yet heard anybody decry the lack of bicycle racks at Avebury.

Surely cycling to the solstice celebrations is the green, sustainable and healthy way of getting there. Just load up your panniers and off you go.
No need to worry about car parks or public transport, and by the time you get there you'll be all energized and ready to party.
