I was responding directly to your point. That fur is not a byproduct of food farming. But leather might be. But it's not a byproduct because you probably get more money from the leather than the meat.

Sorry, I should have said animal skin as a general term rather than use fur.

Leather is now cheaper than it has ever been, strangely enough. Camden market is now all leather at knockdown prices, cheaper than 20 years ago!
