Hiya. O.K shall I start at the begining?
It was a woman in her early 20's who was off her face in the ladies toilets in the pub; I was the one who got the Police to knock the door in, I was the one who felt sick to the stomach to see her with her face in-between her legs, dribbling vomit out of the corner of her mouth, with her skirt up her back and her knickers around her ankles.Apparently she was from Wales not Glastonbury. She is NOT welcome back in the pub.
The Geordie from Glastonbury, who I had thrown of the pub premises for smoking crack in full view of anyone who passed by is NOT welcome in the pub, and has been told by the Police that he is not welcome in Avebury. The Police had him removed, but as they could find no trace of drugs on him were unable to arrest him.
Dick's window was put through by a "person" who goes by the name of Poison Pete who apparently comes from London. He was off his face on whatever. The local Pagan community have made it known that he is no longer welcome in Avebury because his actions are unacceptable.
Mick Edwards and myself organised a whip round and gave Dick and Gilda 40 pounds as a gesture of goodwill from the local community in Avebury.
Dick was initially going to close the post office and shop for future Festivals, but has now agreed not too; why let one dickhead spoil everything. Dick did not file a complaint with the police as he did not want this one incident to be the only incident on file.
The drumming in question occurred on the evening/morning of Sat/ Sun. Around 2.00am Mick Edwards was told by the Nat. Trust to stop the drumming or the police would be called and arrests would be made. Mick sorted it out, end of drumming. The following day the Police stated that Mick should not have been put in this position and that in future the Nat. Trust should deal with future problems themselves and contact the police as necessary.
Prices in the pub are NOT going up in the forseeable future because of Solstice; price rises are normally imposed following the budget.
Of course no one can or will be banned from Avebury; BUT what seems to be overlooked is that as Avebury is not just a Sacred Site, but also a living, working village, that there are levels of behaviour that are acceptable and unacceptable to the residents. Anyone, regardless of race, creed, colour etc, have to be prepared to behave in an acceptable way respecting those around them; patience and tollerance are qualities we all need to display more often.
At the last A.S.S.F meeting we were informed by the Nat. Trust that the Parish council has asked the Local council to enforce a ban on overnight camping in the car park. As a result of this the police are calling for a permenant camp site to be found, which we are all now working towards. At present these arrangements are subject to change as the police are recommending a stay of execution until adequate arrangements are made for the future.
This is as true and factual account as I am able to give.

Well said Scousemaiden. Good to read some common sense amid the bollocks and drivel recently posted on TMA, and good to hear that Dick is not going to close the post office and shop (even better to hear that prices in the pub are not going up in the foreseeable future :-)

Greetings to Scousemaiden.

Thanks for a clear and concise version of events and end results..
