I should go for the stone hares theory myself, more fruitful.... My boar on the right, when this message appears, is in actual fact a Florentine Boar to be found in in the 19th C vestibule of the Uffizo gallery, or so it says on the old sepia photo I found when looking for a print of Stonehenge..... Anyway, boars are still to be found wandering round the Forest of Dean, after escaping their enclosure some months ago, sadly cars are taking their toll of them.

Yes, I've been admiring your boar moss, very impressive. Do you have a particular interest in boar/pig mythology? There's also a wonderful example of a boar on an early Celtic statue in the Musee des Antiquites nationales at St Germain en Laye (also pictured on page 25 of <b>The Ancient World of the Celts</b>).
