There are 18 wells in Avebury, most are capped now.
There is one in the kitchen of the Lodge that was recently opened but nothing found.
At the begining of the WK ave there used to be a toll house with a well.
This was closed and capped after a fire at the Barn which destroyed Kieller cars and a lot of his finds which were dumped down the well including a set of wooden skies.
There are many springs in the area such as the one in the enclosure on the left of the WK ave near Falkner's circle.
Waden spring near silbaby is well known but there are also blind springs in the fields around it that pop up where they want when they want.
Same on the track on the way up to East Ken barrow.
