It wasn't me I'm afraid. It was a bit cold for ice-cream wasn't it?

We went straight to the Red Lion and had lunch, then wondered around the henge in a sort of clockwise direction, meandering about as you do. Checked out the new Tourist Information Centre, bought a loverly new Explorer map of the area, checked out the shop etc. One of the people I was with was an Avebury virgin, so we took it slowly.

Ended up resorting to using the car to see Faulkner's Circle, The Sanctuary, Silbury, Adam and Eve and the Marlborough Mound.

Shame we missed you! I was with Neighbour of the Drude and PeteG, MrsG and BabyG. In the Red Lion from about 12.30ish til about 1.30ish, then went off to wander around the bluebell woods! Then back to the stones via the pub! Left Avebury at about 5.30ish... have to arrange things better next time as we believe that RiotGibbon and a few others were up at the Polisher Stone on Saturday too...

yes it was to cold for ice-cream,thats why we are glad the Mr Whippy lover wasn't you !

we were to frightened to speak to him incase it was you,coz he looked like a right ol'nutter with ice-cream all over his big beardy-wierdy !

next time you are in the area give us a shout !
