I think it's sposeta be on the left as you go in, but I've not heard anyone say it's very evident - certainly not spectacular!!

In the TMA telly prog, Julian sez summat bizarre which I think basically means he can't see it even tho someone's pointing at it....

Rob - the owner will possibly know, tho I know he's not been there that long. If he does, I'm sure he'll show you coz he seemed like a diamond geeza when we met him.

According to Jo Mays book 'fogou' the carving is of a healing god, a carved figure holding a spear or staff whatever it may be and a serpent entwined around his other arm.The carving is there but its vague!.Best viewed from the fogou's interior, the shadows help identification easier.

Never known it to be viewed a 'goddess' carving though, the fogou has connections with Goddess worship though, through its use by local pagans i knew of when i lived in Cornwall.

Read the book if you can get it, if not you can have my copy....
