I stopped at Notgrove for the first time today and was rather disappointed with the barrow as it has no setting at all and is so forlorn for what would have been a major (probably) burial. My main reason for writing is about the curious depressions in the field on the same side of the road about half a mile further west near folly farm. Does anyone know what is the cause, can they be flint mines?
