This is the third time I've tried to get this on here but it misses this page and just hangs on the front page for a day, so just one more time
Which one is it. I went to find sling burial chamber last year and found just a rock, a little dissapointed I looked in the trees just in case and found this

hopefully getting through (I nearly hijacked stonehenge for topic title)

thanks postman

I had that trouble for ages, but if you look at the main page, in the yellow bar, "start a new topic", thats the button you want, and if you go left to "Head to Head" you can also edit yourself....

I had a poke around here a few years back. Parked by the phone box across the road IIRC, but never actually found anything I could recognise as a tomb. The gorse was exceedingly high, and it was extremely muddy underfoot. Not ideal conditions.

I did see a couple of large stones, but couldn't get a decent enough view of them to take any photos or positively identify them as a tomb. What I saw was nothing like the piccies on here though.

Sorry I can't help further.

hi postman
Although I haven't been (although I will now!), I have a book with a picture of Sling, and it is definitely the one with the capstone resting on an upright. The book says it is also called Yr Hen Allor (old altar), and are the remains of a small portal dolmen. It also mentions a recumbent stone nearby which appears to belong to a collapsed chamber.

Hope that helps!
