Looking at this image the cairn spread seems to go away from you. Is there any behind where the photo is taken from? If not then I'd say this is the front and that's a broken portal stone.

I didn't know this one existed. I'm back that way in a month or so and will check it out. Nice

There is minimal cairn spread in this direction. Looks interesting. I'll have to take a peak. Odd are that it will have faced east (or at least eastish) which direction is this taken from Moth?

might lead you to say the stones were the front stones.

The suggestion that they were probably the back stones picks up a Frances Lynch comment about a "rather poor sketch" by Stukeley which shows two triangular stones to the E of the present remains possibly marking the original entrance. (Megalithic Enquiries p129)
