Did you take a GPS up there Eternal? That's what we could do with.

If you didn't, maybe you could pop up again. It's not much trouble.

Sorry , Kammer, I don't have a GPS, but it would have been handy. NY458190 just seemed to be nearer to the mark, as it's at the source of Swarth Beck, where the slope starts to rise gently to the east. Until you are nearly upon it you don't realise it's there.

The OS maps have it as NY457193.

Interestingly, the 1966 OS 1"/mile map marks it as "standing stones". The 1998 OS 2.5"/mile map marks it as "stone circle", as does the 1.25"/mile Anquet Maps software, based on the OS. The guidebook writer Wainwright, in his "Far Eastern Fells" guide of 1956, states that only one stone stands, and leans badly.
