Funny thing with olives.. I'm pretty sure that we the proletariat didn't get a taste for them until relatively recently. Same with avocados.

It was all..."findas crispie pancakes" and "toast toppers" when I was a kid :-)

It is (the jury), it's not (your memory). But if push comes to shove I prefer black ones. Still rather have pickled onions though.
