I live in Clare and its great to see that others know of the camp.
I've found it hard to find information on the site other than "this was a roman camp" so if anyone has info to share i would be greatful.

Can't be definitive as to what exactly you have in Clare, but it seems current opinion is that this was an Iron Age hill fort later occupied and reused as a Saxon Burgh (fortified town... basically Saxon hillfort) and then as part of the medieval manor of Erbury. Quite a bit of continuity then. I'd be well proud.

English Heritage reckon: Bivallate D-shaped enclosure, probably of Iron Age date, seen as earthworks. Survey carried out by RCHME in 1993.
