Thanks to all for encouragement on Croydon Mere (Mear) Bank

Its existence has almost been overcome by oblivion, though it probably pre-dates the putative nearby Roman road.

It has generated a few local names such as Mere Bank Lane etc. and an enigmatic ruined Bank House

It ran over the old Croydon Airport, and can be seen in some 1930s aerial photos.
