I've just spent my lunctime reading the new and amazing MA pages and posting some more of my fieldnotes. I was reading yer Orkney postings and came across one for Midhowe- I thought from the description that it didn't seem right (although it's five years since I was there and my memory ain't what it used to be!), but it sounds like a description of Fairy Knowe/Cuween (especially the bit about the box with the torch in it)- have a look and see what ya think- is it the Fairy Knowe?
