I just noticed your pic of the 'Wades Lane' road sign. I was up there last weekend and thought that the field behind the sign looked slightly curious! Well, in real-life it looks odd, and it's hard to photograph a lump in a field.
My over-active imagination reckoned on a large, 'unnatural' mound there.
Whatd'ya reckon? Barrow? Wade's Grave? Or just a very regular knoll in a small field, next to a standing stone that's a possible grave marker, last resting place of the giant (according to legend ;-))...
