Today I had the great pleasure of meeting some Irish cousins for the first time - they wanted to visit my mother who is the last remaining member of her generation of the family.

The cousin who now lives in Westmeath spent some time talking to my mother about the old 'home' back in County Longford. To be specific Aughnacliffe near Loch Gowna. He said there was a dolmen there.... I have done a search here but couldn't find anything. I would be grateful for any further information.

I was told to wear wellies if I plan to visit and, as it happens, I have just bought a new pair.

Just a different spelling! It's a crazy looking thing, well worth a visit. There's another tomb just up the road that's worth visiting as well: http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/2014/cleenrath_or_cleenrah.html
