I finished my song about the stones looking out to the Calleach the other day - started writing it on Lewis in Sept...

Cnoc Ceann A Gearraidh-na-hine

Don't talk to me about the Moon says Gearraidh-na-hine
It must have come down too soon before the weather was fine
Gearraidh-na-hine says "I'm a shambles for the damsel on the skyline"
Here's something to keep your eyes on
My love lies on the horizon
And the bedrock that she lies on
Is so Lewissian gneiss

The goddess with the fecund timing, Achmore said
"From here I see the moonlight shine out from behind her head"
Achmore says "She's a mother like no other on the skyline"
Eyes across the water
Mother, crone and daughter
& The standing stones escort her
Through Lewissian Weather

& it's so lonely out here on the edge of the Western world
The fringes of forever
But when I look across at her she's the goddess of my world
As long as she's there I'll be too

"Embrace me in the Autumn sunshine" says Filibhear Bheag
"I'll stand here 'til the end of time but all too soon you'll be dead
It's the worship of the lady that they made me here on the skyline"
Of wisdom there's a fountain
Old woman of the mountain
& us stone just keep on counting
Through Lewissian time

Shouldn't this be added to the Megalithic poetry thread - looks as good as any others I've seen!
