Had a great time up in the Orkneys, Not enough time to see the smaller sites but got a good number of the biggies, plus a few smaller ones. Photo’s coming soon. Thanks for the excellent advice on Skara Brae, we went in through the outdoor after closing time, no locks, no coaches, no crowds – great!

Caithness & Kilmartin were excellent, just needed more time! Spent the whole of the last day (should have been travelling home!) in the Kilmartin area and barely touched it, finally making it home at 3.00am – still at least the motorways are clear travelling at that time. Already planning the next trip;-)
