...f I was camping too, yes I probably would have let it put me off!!!!!!

I don't mind at all getting soaked and I don't mind camping.

But I HATE camping when I'm already soggy. (Now everyone knows I'm a big girl's blouse.) And I've never got as wet as on a bike - the idea of bedding down in a tent after that....

Mind you, would I have really known what dryness was 'in them days'? (Cue lecture from 4W etc on the sophistication of the shelters of the time and how I'm making inaccurate assumptions etc....)

admittedly i'm not much of a sophisticated shelter bulder myself.. i put my faith and trust in the great god GORETEX.. jacket, trousers, the works.. got them in a warehouse sale.. by gore, i even have waterproof socks.. don't tell anyone though, my hardy image will be blown..
