I see - shame - but good that you found it! It's great, isn't it? Did you see the holed triangular standing stone nearby?I bet you got to see a lot of great stuff with Pete as a guide - he really knows the area well. (I don't think I know Steve - or at least haven't met him face to face yet)
Shame you couldn't have made it down next weekend for the Megameet - there's a whole buncha people turning up with a HUGE collective knowledge of Avebury - and tons more besides!
Maybe next year, eh? They're always good fun. :)
